Constantine Kipnis

Constantine has been an Internet innovator since 1994, when he co-founded, the first company to offer Windows hosting and the leading provider of Exchange hosting on the market today. Constantine has had key software product management and technology roles in a long series of Internet startups, building and running agile development teams since 1999 and actively utilizing distributed offshore resources since 1996. Other career highlights include spearheading the web effort at, which led to a successful IPO and subsequent acquisition by Interwoven; helping build, a leading productized ecommerce consultancy, as employee #1 and CTO, and software product and project management roles at major B2B SaaS players like and and P2P powerhouse Constantine is most interested in web application software: all things that have to do with Agile, Offshore, Automation.

Before the Web took off, Constantine was actively involved in high-profile international technology joint ventures between US and Russian firms. He holds an MBA from University of Florida, MA Russian Studies from University of Pennsylvania, and BA French Studies from University of Minnesota. Once upon a time he was ranked Top 10 Junior chess player in the US and he can still be found playing 3-minute blitz at the Internet Chess Club. He makes his home in Brooklyn, NY, and entertains himself by telling his children fairy tales about life before the iPhone and 1-click shopping.
